Not bad today. I was 5 over yesterday, but 4 under today. I always thought taquitos were bad for you (that's probably because I used to eat 10 or more in one sitting). But as with most foods, moderation is key. 6 was actually quite a bit, but when you think about it they aren't that bad. Its just a corn tortilla with chicken.

I went to the gym today, the focal part of my workout is 20 minutes on the treadmill (3/4 mile walk, 1/4 sprint, walk the rest until I reach 20 mins.). I felt very good during my 1/4 mile sprint, this is good news. In a few weeks I'll be ready to sprint/run further. I'll probably go to a 2/3 mile walk, 1/3 miles run/sprint, walk the rest to 20 mins.

I got on the scale today. This was only to see if I lost weight for the week. Despite all the complaining and criticism of myself this week, I do indeed weigh less than 271.5 lbs. Tomorrow we will find out how much. My prediction has been wrong each week. I will go with 269.5 for tomorrow.

I just should have said NO to the side salad and I would have been fine today. Sometimes I just want to slap myself. It may not seem like a big deal right now, I probably will lose weight this week, but what you have to understand is that in a few months I will be down to 27 points a day, and it will be much more difficult to lose weight. I need to maintain discipline now.

No gym today, gym tomorrow, and hopefully Sunday.

No gym today, probably won't go tomorrow. Looks like Saturday and Sunday I'll need to go. I'm not feeling as good about this week. We'll see if I can come away with a 2 lb. loss.

I was way under today. Awesome. I also went to the gym again today. Let's see if I can make it 3 days in a row tomorrow. Despite Sunday, I again think I will lose weight again this week. I'm leaning towards 2 pounds instead of 2.5 or 3. We'll find out in a few days.

So the good news today is that I weighed in 2.5 lbs less. The bad news is that I've had my worst day of the diet so far. I got stuck at a restaurant and choose poorly (special thanks to Macayo's for providing the nutrition stats online). This week will now be even more important than last week due to what happened today. It's days like these that in the past, would send me into a tailspin of failure. So, I must regain focus tomorrow.

The question is: Do I want it bad enough?

The answer is: YES

Ok, I didn't work out today, but 3 times this week was very good. I got there today for the weigh-in, but I had to meet up with my family for dinner. Very encouraged by this week. The extra 2 days at the gym translated into minus 1/2 lb. It was very close to 271 even, but I wasn't quite there. So, at this pace I should be into the 260s in one week.

I weighed 271 in May and I gained 12 pounds while studying for the LSAT. So I've now erased that weight in 22 days. I haven't totaled today's points but I was little undisciplined today, I believe I am over for the day (f*ck!), but not by alot.

Here's my progress. The Purple line is the pace I need to maintain to make it by May 18th. The blue is the actual results. I'm 4.5 lbs ahead of the pace so far.

So I got the Turkey & Swiss Sandwich served with Cole Slaw at the Vine's Sports Bar. Basically I took what would be a 10 inch Turkey Sub at Subway and added points for the Swiss cheese. I didn't consume all of the dipping sauce and the Cole Slaw. So I finished on target for today. I need to be more careful when eating out though. 17 points for that meal total is an educated guess based on comparisons, but still a guess. But the moment of truth is tomorrow.

I got on the scale today at the gym (that means I've gone 3 times this week) but only to see if I was less than 274 lbs (implying that I lost weight this week), and yes I am less than 274. My guess for tomorrow is that I will come in at 271.5 lbs.
